The Station Sourcing Group is a new procurement initiative that draws on our expertise in technology and vendor relationships to negotiate favorable pricing and terms for public radio and television stations on professional quality equipment, software and services.

Value Proposition

Our value proposition to qualified vendors serving the public media community is our system wide expertise and our exclusive rights, granted to us by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), to the results of an unprecedented and comprehensive system-wide survey commissioned by CPB and announced in 2018. The survey results include station-specific equipment replacement and procurement plans for the next 3-5 years down to the functional equipment, software and services level. It also includes detailed information on vendors, including models and expected end-of-life.

CPB, a private, non-profit corporation created by Congress in 1967, is the steward of the federal government’s investment in public broadcasting.
